I am seeking any information about MARY HANNAH GRANT Nee Copeland, b 1850 Derby
Mary was my gt grandnother and she disappeared after 1881, at that time she had been in Perth Scotland with her husband George Nelson Grant and my gandmothe Mabel (b.1874 in Derby
I believe they split up after that time, but where did Mary Hannah go?
In 1891 George had a new "wife" Annie then by 1901 he and Annie were lving in Leicester.
Then in 1910 they married, George stating that he was now a widower.
This gives a clue that Mary Hannah
must have died around that time.
But I cannot find her, what was her surname,she must have changed it,also, did she return to Derby where she had been born and had family relatons.
Someone must know of her and who her partner was.
My mother never spoke about the family
this may have been because George & Annie had been "living in sin"
He died in Leicster in 1919.What happened to Annie? does anyone know about her?? She originally came from Bermondsey London.
Can anyone help me to solve this mystery
